I particularly love all the haikus about Tubbs, especially the heartwarming springtime one where he is serenely lying beneath a cherry blossom tree with a full, perfectly round tummy, and the humorous one in which he is trying to fit into the cat tunnel. Some haikus are centered around specific cat characters. The book is separated into sections, with the haikus and cat illustrations being based on each of the four seasons. The poems, all written in the traditional Japanese haiku style, are simple and sweet, entertaining and fun to read for both kids and adults. "Neko Atsume Haiku" is chock-full of the most heartwarming and funny cat-themed haikus, and absolutely adorable illustrations of the cats from the famous mobile game. I ordered this along with "Where Am I Meow?", and I couldn't be more delighted.

I'm so pleased that the Japanese Neko Atsume books are being translated so English-speaking fans of the best cat-themed App game on Earth can finally enjoy them! I've been playing Neko Atsume and avidly collecting the merchandise since February 2016. If you love cats and Neko Atsume, do NOT miss out on this beautiful and witty poetic treasure! Such lovely and adorable haikus, all about our beloved feline friends.
